Accompanied by internationally renowned opera singers and ballet soloists, the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra will present classic Viennese compositions at the Vienna State Opera.

For this concert we offer the possibility to book the Dinner & Concert category. In addition to the ticket for the concert, this category includes a program and a 3-course menu in the prominent Sacher restaurant right next to the opera at 6pm The dessert is of course the famous “Sachertorte”.

The Program:

Under the direction of conductor Roman Mogilevskiy, well-known pieces are on the program that correspond to the festive setting: for example, the Fledermaus Overture, the Viennese Blood Waltz and the Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss, or arias and duets from Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

This program is also accompanied by romantic duets by Franz Lehar and Emmerich Kalman as well as fiery polkas by the Strauss family.

One of the highlights of this concert will once again be a few musical jokes, in the tradition of Johann Strauss and the great Viennese orchestras.

Vienna State Opera

The Vienna State Opera is one of the most famous opera houses in the world and the first address for every classical music lover in Vienna..

It opened in 1869 with the opera Don Juan by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The State Opera was built within 8 years in the Neo-Renaissance style according to plans by August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll and is one of the most prominent landmarks in Vienna.
